So yesterday, while scrolling down my Instagram feed, I’ve realized something that I haven’t noticed before. It seems like most of the feeds I’ve been getting on my social media accounts—Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.—has got something to do with makeup. Even celebrities that I’ve been following can’t seem to shut up about their “makeup tips and tricks” and quite honestly, it’s beginning to get on my nerves. Don’t get me wrong. I. LOVE. MAKEUP. Getting a lot of beauty pointers from actresses and models I admire is great from time to time. But seeing these “tips” day in and day out from all over social media? Puh-leeez! Furthermore, all we the tips we see from them are practically the same! How can we even learn something new about makeup if they are all saying the same thing?
Anyways, that’s why I decided to write this compilation of key makeup tips that would REALLY change your makeup game. These aren’t your average makeup tips like what you’ve read in other blogs and articles, mind you. These will certainly make you into a makeup guru. Interested? Read on:
We can’t stop time. That’s a fact of life. We just can’t turn back the hands of time and go back to when we still have our youthful looks. Unless we suddenly found the Fountain of Youth, we just have to accept that aging is a natural part of life. In fact, I really think that we shouldn’t just “accept” but actually cherish it. Why? Well, there are many things to be thankful about ageing. The fact that you’ve reached a certain age is something to be thankful about. And just think of the experiences (not to mention the knowledge) that comes along with all the years you’re here—isn’t that something to really be grateful about?
Let’s face it, we don’t always have the luxury of time when we prepare for work in the morning. What with all the things we have to do every morning, we just can’t get everything done the right way. Case in point? Applying makeup. Because of not having enough time for makeup, we settle for a few dabs of foundation, lipstick, eyeliners, eyebrows, and to finish it off, some blush-ons. Yes, I’ve seen so many women doing this and to tell you honestly, I’d rather go barefaced.
Most—if not all—women have makeup kits they carry around anywhere they go. In fact, some (including myself) look at makeup kits as one of her prized possessions. And why not? This is where we put our makeup essentials; and we need them on the go for retouches and other beauty emergencies, right, girls?
