When it comes to fashion, Koreans have been making noise these past couple of years. In fact, we have been seeing a lot of their looks from all over the world. What with the emergence of K-pop and K-drama in the international scene, people have come to love their rather quirky yet stylish outfits. Now with the popularity of the Seoul Fashion Week, their looks have really become a force in the world of fashion. That’s why it’s not really surprising that many of my constant readers are asking for more K-fashion style ideas. You know, to get inspiration from. And because I just love making my readers happy—and maybe because I’m just a sucker for Korean style—your wish is my command. So without further ado, here are some of the street style K-fashion trends this summer:
Now that it’s summer, one of the most go-to tops out there are our trusty t-shirts. Yes, they may not be the most chic option. But with sizzling temps during summers, one just can’t help but go with these “lazy” articles of clothing. I, myself, actually don’t mind wearing tees as much as I can during the hottest season of the year. In fact, I believe tees are so comfy, they deserve to be worn whenever and wherever you like, regardless of the occasion. Of course, I’m not talking about wearing your basic tees in a gala. Say, if you have a dinner date, or if you’re spending the day out with your friends, t-shirts, I think, can be chic enough—that is if you have the right t-shirt designs and the right pieces to go with them.
We all know the South Korean entertainment industry is becoming famous in the international scene rapidly. Thanks to their quirky yet charming K-dramas, and let’s not forget the ever popular K-pop, their entertainment industry is actually raking in millions (if not billions) of mullahs internationally— subsequently playing a vital role in S. Korea’s economy, not to mention continuously promoting Korean culture all over the globe. So what have they done right that people can’t get enough of their K-dramas and K-pop songs? Well, honestly speaking, I can only assume because I really think it’s a phenomenon. And like all phenomena, they are hard to explain—but let me try. Here are the reasons why, I THINK, the K-culture is booming right now:
As summer comes closer and closer, I can hear the fab four singing to me once again. Here comes the sun (doo doo doo doo), here comes the sun, and I say It’s all right. Especially if you’re planning on spending much of the season relaxing at the beach. That is really something to look forward to, right? Now, when it beach fashion, for me it only requires one thing: a solid collection of swimwear, of course. And because swimsuits are evolving as fast as you can say “bikini”, the best thing to do is to upgrade your beach wardrobe. By upgrading, I mean, getting rid of the old ones (not all of the old ones, mind you; just those you’ve had since what? That beach trip 10 years ago?) and buying new stuff to keep up with the latest swimsuit trends.
