The OOTD: Putting Together An Instagram-Worthy Outfit

Let’s face it. One of the banes of being a woman is dressing up every morning. Unlike men who can just slip into anything they pick in their closets, us women just can’t do that. We’d literally have to search every inch of our wardrobes and try to mix and match almost every clothes we have just to find the perfect outfit for that day. And men wonder why we take too long to prepare every morning, right?

Though, it can really be satisfying when everything you picked from your closet went well together, there will surely be times when it seems like you’ve turned your whole closet upside down just to find the perfect combination. But when you DO nail that Instagram-worthy outfit, the feeling is pure heaven. Heck, I’d even grab my phone, snap a selfie, set up the right filter, and of course drown that sucker down with hashtags before posting it! Ha-ha!

Laying Out The Ground Work

Anyways, I’m sure a lot of you here have all the wardrobe basics. If you still don’t, well, I suggest you invest in these  essentials every women should have in their closets:

Turning Basic Components to Fashionable Outfits

Now, many of you are probably thinking: “But these are just basic pieces! How can we turn these into an Instagram-worthy outfit?” Well, hold on to your horses, I’m about to get to it.

Take a simple jeans/t-shirt combination, for example. Just imagine how you’d want to look—do you want to look a bit dressy or do you want a laid back look. For that dressy look, you can just top your jeans/shirt outfit with a blazer and finish it off with a a pair of stilettos. You can also maximize this outfit with jewelries to make it even more stylish.

If, on the other hand, you’re going for that laid back look, your jeans/shirt combo will surely work well with a pair of slip-ons  and some cardigans. You can also add a sun hat and/or a scarf  and/or sunglasses for measure

Make it stylishly laid back with cardigans and slip-ons.

You see how easy it is? You want another example? Here goes: A lot of women think that the Little Black Dress is just for cocktail parties and other semi-formal events—well, it’s not. To make it stylishly casual, you can dress it down with a colorful scarf and a pair of boots or flats. If you want it to look more playful, you can actually pair your LBD’s with a pair of sneakers and/or top it with a rugged denim jacket. If you think your LBD looks a bit boring, make it “un-boring” with a colorful belt. Easy, right?

Take advantage of this powerful tool in your hand with the right combination of pieces in your wardrobe.
