Essential Ensembles To Beat the Heat This Summer

It’s summer time—the hottest season of the year. And it’s only just beginning, which means the heat will probably worsen each passing day. I’m not really complaining though because, as I’ve said in my previous blog posts, summer is my favorite season.

There are, however, some downside to this season, one of which is the scorching heat and the sweaty feeling that comes with it. Unless you like sweating a lot (which, of course, I doubt you do), there are actually more ways than one to beat the heat this summer. Staying indoors (preferably in air-conditioned environment) and drinking lots of liquid are just two of the most effective ways in keeping cool this summer.

If, on the other hand, you really need to go outdoors, the best way to keep cool is to dress up accordingly. When I say “dress up accordingly”, it doesn’t mean that you’ll have to sacrifice style. In fact, essential summer casual outfits are one of the most chic outfits in my opinion.

Here are some of the essential ensemble you will surely need and want this summer:

As you can see in the images above, most of the clothes I chose are made from light “flowy” materials, except , of course, for the denim pants—just to have variations in your clothes. That’s because the less fabric you have touching your body, the more air that could penetrate into your clothing, and the cooler you will be. Also, you have to keep in mind that color will play a huge role in keeping yourself cool this summer. So avoid blacks and other dark colors as they absorb more light—and therefore heat—into your clothing.

You also have to consider your under garments of course. Try to avoid padded and wired bras as these can make you more sweaty (you wouldn’t want a sweaty bra, right?). You should instead go with soft, unlined bras.

One last thing before I go, remember that keeping yourself cool, comfy, and looking great at the same time is all about your attitude. A sunny disposition in life will surely make a lot of difference.

Well, that’s it for me this week. See you all next time fashionistas and always stay cool!
